In accordance with European Regulation 2022/2065 on Digital Services (DSA), which has been effective since February 17, 2024, we have a legal obligation to verify the identity of our business partners. This process applies to all those operating under the legal form of a natural person (self-employed).
What does the law require us to do?
Specifically, according to Article 30 of the DSA Regulation, as the operator of an online platform, we are required to obtain and verify basic identification data about each business partner before allowing them to offer services or goods to consumers.
Who does the verification apply to?
At this time, the process applies to all natural persons who plan to launch a new event with us. Without completing the verification, it is not possible to sign a contract for a new event and start selling.
How does the verification process work?
The entire process is designed to be as simple as possible and will only take you a few minutes:
-
Prompt in the administration: Before signing the contract, a prominent notification will appear in the partner interface, referring to the actual act of identity verification.
-
Redirection: You will be securely redirected to the system of our partner Legal Systems.
-
Document upload: The system will prompt you to take a photo or upload a valid document (identity card, passport, or ID card) and take a photograph (selfie) for comparison with the document.
-
Completion: Once the system verifies the data, it will send us the information "Verified" and you can immediately sign the contract for the event.
The security of your data is our priority
We understand that working with personal data requires maximum trust. That is why we have chosen Legal Systems as our partner for this purpose, who meets the strictest banking and security standards:
-
Data localization: All data is stored on servers within the European Union (Germany and the Netherlands) in accordance with GDPR.
-
High standards: The infrastructure is certified according to ISO 27001 and SOC standards.
-
Limited access: Your documents are not freely accessible to our employees and are used only for this legal verification process.
-
Automatic deletion: Data is retained only for the necessary period. If you terminate cooperation, the system will automatically delete your data 6 months after the expiration of the last voucher (the legal period for retaining this data).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why do I have to do this if I have been working with Slevomat for a long time? The obligation arises from European DSA legislation, which applies to all major online platforms. We must have legal certainty that there is a real and verified person behind each offer.
What if I am unable to take a photo? Make sure you have good lighting and that your browser has permission to access the camera. If technical problems persist, please contact your sales representative, who will help you find a solution.
Can I send a copy of the document by email? For security reasons and to protect your data (GDPR), we do not accept documents by email. Please use only the secure Legal Systems interface in the administration.
Do you have further questions about the verification process? We will provide more information at partneri@slevomat.cz.
